Wegovy Pill 4mg (Days 31–60)
The 4mg dose is intended for patients progressing from the starter dose where clinically appropriate following review by one of our clinicians.
Which dose should I choose?
Most people will start on the 1.5 mg starter dose.
Even if you are currently taking Mounjaro, most patients will still start on the 1.5 mg Wegovy Pill. This is because there is no direct dose equivalent between Mounjaro and Wegovy. If you have never taken Wegovy before, the starter dose helps your body adjust before increasing to a higher dose, where clinically appropriate.
Choose the 1.5 mg starter dose if you:
- Have never used any GLP-1 weight loss medication before (including Wegovy, Mounjaro or Saxenda).
- Have never used Wegovy before.
- Have not taken any GLP-1 weight loss medication for more than 2 months.
The 1.5 mg dose is a starter dose designed to help your body adjust to treatment before increasing to the next dose where clinically appropriate.
You may be suitable for the 4 mg dose if:
- You are currently taking Wegovy 1 mg or higher.
- OR
- You previously took Wegovy 1 mg or higher without significant adverse side effects and are currently taking Mounjaro.
